Environmental Design Group is seeking a self-motivated leader to join our team in our Akron, Ohio office with depth and breadth of knowledge in Construction Engineering, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, working knowledge of the state (ODOT) and federal (FHWA) guidelines as well as safety, environment, and DBE guidelines.  The successful candidate will have the opportunity to support the efforts of the construction service department participating in a range of projects.

Skills Required:

  • Manage and direct the activities of the Construction service group providing complex consulting services to our clients in helping them construct their projects. 
  • Assist principals and leadership team in supporting and implementing employee programs that foster a positive work environment and help develop each employee to their full potential.
  • Has primary responsibility for the profitability of the group and achieving tactical and strategic objectives.

Education/Professional Requirements:  Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or related field is required.  Minimum of 15 years of related experience and 10 years of experience in supervising.  PE, CCM, or other appropriate certification as necessary is required.  Must be proficient in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] and Document Controls software applications.
